50 States Exam!

The exam. That is what all of the kids dreaded. In the start of the year, I asked the teacher, "do we really have to do it?" When she said yes, my spirits sank. There was literally NO way that I could know all of the states, capitals, and where they are located on the map! And two months ago, we started to study. The teacher was thankfully able to break it down for us so we learned one region at a time. One. Two. Three.

One by one, I learned all of the capitals and all of the states. But, I made one mistake. I did not study for where everything was located! At the last minute, my mother and I studied and studied with maps and websites. I went to go to my room but my mother stopped me. "Anya, go do the test and get it over with. Don't fear it now." I was nervous but I knew she was right. We had spent the 30 minutes studying and now, everything was in my brain. I was ready.

As I took the test, I kept double guessing and doubting myself but my mother walking in and said that I should stop. She said that I knew all of the answers and that I was making a bad mistake. I took a deep breath and thought to myself that I am just having fun and should calm down. I did and I tried, and tried to finish all 102 questions. When I finished, I was on pins and needles.

I saw the result. 1. 0. 0. percent. I had to read it a second time. "100%!" No way! Awesome!

And that is how I got 100% on my test. My Mom was filming me so you can see how I was trying to do it.
