Pink and Perky!

Want to have a yummy treat after a long day of school? I have just the thing for you! And the grown ups? They can have it too! You interested? Great! This is what you need.

  • 1 pear

  • 1 pink grapefruit

  • A blender/juicer

  • Honey

  • Ice cubes

  • Strainer

  • Plates

  • And a glass

Here is what you need to do. Peel the grapefruit and cut it into smaller pieces. Same with the pear. But keep the skin on because it's healthy. Put the pears and grapefruits in the juicer/blender and start blending! If yours looks chunky like mine did, add a bit of water.

When you are done and your mixture is soft and creamy, that's good, but if you have a bit of chunky stuff, pour the mixture through a strainer and all of the juice will fall. Put the ice into half of the cup then pour the juice into it. For decoration, add a thin slice of pink grapefruit inside! If it is too sour, add a bit of honey to sweeten it up! Enjoy!

(If you don't like grapefruit, this may not be your kind of drink. You can always learn to like it though. )
