Wow. Day 2 of the Ice Cream expedition. Read about Amy's Ice Creams in Austin TX, right here. Anyway, my family is going to go a super healthy diet. Please wish me good luck, I'm going to need it. My Mum thought the perfect way to end our time eating out and eating junk; was to end it with delicious ice cream. Dad and I agreed that this was a sound plan. My family had to drive pretty far to find this creamery, it was at least 30 minutes away in Venice. We went at eight in the night, about when we eat dinner and split up to do our own things.
We got there around 8:45 and hopped out of the car. They had such unusual flavors! I was looking around and nothing seemed familiar at all! No Vanilla, or Mint Chocolate Chip! All that was there was Elderberry, Blueberry Sorbet?
After a while, we got two cups with two scoops in each. In my cup, I got Violette, and Mango Sticky Rice. In my parents cup they actually got the Elderberry, Blueberry sorbet and this chocolate one. It was cold outside so we hopped in the car to try our Ice Cream. Boy, was I shocked.
The first one I tried was the Violette Ice Cream. It was light purple and I just thought it looked interesting. It was amazing. It had a subtle flavor but it came through strongly. My parents loved the sorbet as well. As my spoon ran through the sorbet, the texture reminded me of shaved ice. The Mango sticky rice was incredible as well and the chocolate was the cherry on top.
All of them were great and I would totally recommend Wanderlust Creamery. I think after this, I discovered that for the best ice cream; you have to drive far.
